I AM AFRAID OF THEM
This is Audax Ajuae at the age of 9 years old in 2017,
he was involved in a motorcycle accident where he accidentally inserted his
foot in the tire. His family took him to Kagondo Hospital, and doctors decided
that his leg had to be amputated so as to save him.
When they visited TAHO offices, Audax’s mother explained to
Sister Eugenia that “my son has to walk 3km every day to school with the aid of
crunches, which has affected his arms, please help him with an artificial
limb."
Sister Eugenia said, "We will send Audax to Kagondo
Hospital, where he will be assisted."
Hearing Kagondo Hospital, Audax was very shocked and asked
sister Eugenia, "Are you taking me to Kagondo Hospital? They were the ones
who cut my leg. I DON’T WANT TO GO THERE, I AM AFRAID OF THEM."
Audax…., "We are going to provide you with an
artificial limb and you will walk again like other children, please come, I
will show you something."
Sister Eugenia opened her laptop and started showing Audax
previous photos of children who we helped with artificial limbs. They are okay,
happy, and are now going to school.
AUDAX'S LIMB HAS BEEN GENEROUSLY DONATED BY BROTHER ALI
