THROUGH THE EYE WE HEAR
It was a beautiful Sunday and we had an enjoyable day with the blessed children from Mugeza deaf/dumb school.
This school has been among our visiting site for the past years especially during the holy month of Ramadan. We normally give a hand of relief by providing variety of food staffs to students who are fasting. Most of the children from this school are from the poorest families and others being abandoned by their families.
We were chatting with them through our poor knowledge of signs but they seemed to understand as they were happily nodding their heads and replying back through their sign language. It was an interesting conversation to note.
The head master presented to us many challenges on their behalf. Others were beyond our capabilities but we noted down two priorities to work through.
First, their request for frequent visits by rotary doctors. Currently, due to lack of funds to initiate their own dispensary, most of the children are being taken to hospital only in serious cases.
They still remember the previous visit in 2012 when the blessed family of Dr. Hasnain Dewji, his wife Fatema, their daughter Latifahuda Dewji and their team from Global Kindness Foundation (Vancouver Canada) visited this center for oral health treatment.
To all our dear friends and supporters, it is our wish and prayers the above requests will be granted by your great volunteering works!
