TAHO is a non - profit Organization residing in Bukoba-Kagera, Tanzania. This organization was fully registered in May 2019 under the acts of Tanzania Non-Governmental Organizations regulations 2002.
The main mission of this organization is to aid in improving
the health of residents living in Kagera region through addressing hindered
health issues within the communities and planning for potential strategic plan
in alleviating the health pertaining problems within the communities. This was
planned to work through series of seminars and workshops in availability of
funds. We have also planned to work with the village kata leaders and engaging
the local communities in easy and achievable health improving plans.
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
Kagera region is among the developing regions in northern -Tanzania. Among other regional working activities, agriculture and trade provided the main routes out of poverty. In 2018, the Tanzania Human Development Index annual report tied the region with an index of 0.501 which was termed as "low" among other regions. Furthermore, in 2012 - population and housing census, the region comprised of 2,458, 023 population with annual population rate of 3.2% which was tied as the "third highest" in the country. It is therefore, our anticipation that; in improving the health of the residents will positively contributes in promoting the economic growth within the region. We believe health is the main key in stimulating the economic growth of any region. It is the fact that, the healthier subjects do better in their daily activities than the sick ones.
